Not everyone is building a sled pulling truck or a drag truck, but even you stock-ish guys out there need good parts in your engines. MAHLE Motorsport just introduced a ceramic thermal barrier coating for their PowerPak Pistons that are pretty cutting edge. So, what is this ceramic thermal barrier coating?
This proprietary thermal coating is for any PowerPak performance forged piston, gas or diesel, that will significantly help with the heat. As you know, these engines make a ton of heat and we’ll take any help we can get. This ceramic-based coating greatly reduces the heat transfer for improved performance and adds a layer of insulation to the piston crown to protect it against thermal shock.
The Thermal Barrier Coating was developed by MAHLE Motorsport to create more protection for the piston crown as demands for piston and engine component performance have increased in multiple forms of motorsports including hot rod diesel trucks. They are designed primarily for improved engine efficiency in race engines that need increased torque and horsepower. If MAHLE pistons are available there, the coating is, too.
Don’t miss out on upgrading the internals of your engine and get hooked up with MAHLE. For more information about MAHLE and what they offer for you, be sure and check out their website here.
