Real Improvements: Industrial Injection’s MaxMPG Additive is NO JOKE

Additives are sadly overlooked. I for the longest time didn’t believe in the validity of most additives. But as of late, A-Games are being brought. That is no exception when it comes to Industrial Injection‘s new formula of their product Duece Juice; MaxMPG. Is this the additive that everyone needs in their trucks?

MaxMPG comes in multiple container sizes. This new formula comes in “All-Season” or “Winter” blends. The product is offered in convenient 16-ounce bottles or even a giant one-gallon bottle for even bigger treatments. The guys at Industrial shot us over some of this new formula to try first hand and we can’t wait to share the results with you.

MaxMPG

MaxMPG What’s New?

MaxMPG contains a concentrated level of cetane booster which tremendously upgrades power and performance of all diesel equipment. This formula also has a powerful level of injector cleaner, lubricity additives, corrosion inhibitors, water dispersants, and fuel stabilizers. MaxMPG should be used at every fill-up to turn standard pump diesel into premium diesel.

These 16-ounce, easy-to-pour bottles offer improvements and will treat up to 400 gallons of diesel. What can you expect from a dosage?

In a cold climate area? Are your winters longer than normal? You can still get the same improved fuel economy with a hint of anti-gel all in one with the MaxMPG winter blend. The gallon jugs, both All-Season and Winter, treat 1,000 gallons of fuel.

The MaxMPG Winter Blend is fully formulated for the most brutal winter conditions. MaxMPG Winter Blend has powerful cetane, lubricity additive, keep-clean detergent package, water dispersant, and de-icer chemicals to prevent paraffin wax precipitation during cold weather. They do this by minimizing the size of the wax crystals, allowing the fuel to travel through the fuel filter at temperatures 20 degrees Fahrenheit below the cloud point (wax temperature point) of diesel fuel.

During a recent discussion with Brett Williams, vice president of Industrial Injection, he seemed excited about this product. “Industrial Injection has been in business for 35 years remanufacturing diesel fuel systems.  We’ve applied our knowledge of fuel system failures and teamed up with world-renowned lubrication engineers to deliver the best fuel additive on the market,” Williams said. Today’s diesel fuel lacks the essential chemicals that keep your fuel system healthy.  Add an ounce of MaxMPG next time you fill up, and you will experience all of the benefits.

Testing

I sourced a specific vehicle to ensure fuel economy testing would be accurate. What better than a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta with a 1.8-liter turbo-diesel engine? A friend uses this car daily, and the route is so consistent, what better way to check its fuel economy, right?

You probably realize that these cars get incredibly good fuel mileage from the factory. but there is always room for improvement. As mentioned, the trips are always the same with the weather being the only real factor. We selected a few days with similar atmospheric temperature and humidity, and attempted a few days of testing without any product.

Before adding MaxMPG, the car totaled up to 39.42 mpg. I’m hopeful we really can improve its mileage. With the pre MaxMPG testing complete, the MaxMPG All Season blend was introduced. With the necessary dosage, this Jetta did in fact see an improvement in mileage with 42.91 miles per gallon. That is an increase of 3.49 miles per gallon. That measures out to be an 8.85-percent increase. This is all on-highway or interstate speeds, so what about in town?

So how does MaxMPG stack up with stop-and-go traffic? The Jetta would, on average, need to hit the pumps every few days with an economy of 36.2 mpg. As the bottle suggested, the correct dosage was put into the car, and after checking the mileage once again. an improvement was found.

MaxMPG

The Jetta managed 40.8 mpg, which is a 4.60 mpg increase from before. This new formula seems to be doing work on our test vehicle and we’re looking forward to trying it out on even more diesel-powered machines.
