The diesel community has been waiting a long time for something like this. A glut of automotive reality shows have been around since the time of “Overhaulin'” and “West Coast Choppers”, and now, there’s a show for the diesel folks in “Diesel Brothers,” now on the Discovery Channel, focusing on the daily operations of DieselSellerz and Diesel Power Gear out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
In this, the pilot episode of the series, we find co-hosts and owners of DieselSellerz/Diesel Power, Dave “Big D” Sparks and “Diesel Dave.” The duo make their living operating a leading diesel truck sales website (DieselSellerz.com), as well as building epic rigs and putting them up for grabs in raffle contests. YouTube videos help to reach the masses and notify them of the giveaways, and with this new TV show, we get to see how the magic happens.
Two trucks are the focus of this episode: a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 with an LBZ, and a 1948 Willys Jeep running on a 350 small-block. The first truck was picked up on the spot at a local gas station, while the Jeep comes from a car-collecting owner who wants something cool done to it. The Diesel Brothers go full-bore on both projects and produce some amazing results – with only one small, albeit fiery, hiccup that happens.
The two projects in the pilot episode are a 1948 Willys pickup and a 2007 Chevy 2500.
