SDX Mini-Feature: Pleasant Cook’s 2015 Duramax

REWA002

The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza maybe in the books, but some of the vehicles there will continue to leave a lasting impression on your Facebook and Instagram feed for the rest of the year. With today’s world and technology we follow users because of their truck and what they do to it. We have seen Pleasant Cook’s 2015 Duramax plenty of times on our Instagram feed, but it looks even better in person.

The truck had an idea in mind when it was designed. “The vision for the truck was ‘What would Barbie drive?’,” said Pleasant. “With that in mind, it had to be flashy, girly, and lots of pink.” If you have seen anything else that Pleasant drives you know there is going to be plenty of pink.

If Barbie had a truck, we couldn’t think why she wouldn’t be driving Pleasant Cook’s Duramax. The license plate up front is just one indication of who the truck is for.

This truck is loaded with features every guy and girl can drool over. It runs Full Throttle Suspensions’ lift kit, 20×12 Vision Rage wheels wrapped in 37×13.50R20 Super Swamper M16’s, RBP grille, Plain An simple headlights, PPEI tuning, Flo Pro exhaust, Swamp Donkey rock lights and wheel lights, Fab Four front bumper, rear bumper, and roof rack.

If that wasn’t exactly what a diesel loving Barbie would want to drive the custom digital camo wrap with a chameleon overlay and Roadwire white custom leather seats would be the icing on the cake. Did we mention that the seats are embroidered with 4×4 Barbie?

This truck is loaded with custom parts, but behind it all there is still plenty of pink.

This isn’t just a look for Pleasant, it is something this is passionate about. “I’ve been into lifted trucks since I was young,” Pleasant explained. “My parents owned an off-road shop so I grew up going to off-road events, monster truck shows, and truck shows.”

“Three years ago I started performing in a mini-monster truck at different truck events. I had a Chevy 1500 I pulled the mini with to the shows and decided to upgrade to a diesel after signing with my current sponsor Vision Wheel,” Pleasant continued. “Originally the truck was bought to help with the hauling of my trucks to shows, but I was asked to have it ready for SEMA last year. Things got crazy with only three months to build it and me being gone every weekend for shows.”

The truck is truly an eye grabber as it stood out, in a good way, at the SDX show-n-shine. The truck does make its rounds as it appears at shows all over the country. Pleasant’s truck dubbed “Project Karma,” almost had a short life. “My original plan was to sell it and build another one for this year’s SEMA show, but it didn’t work out that way,” Pleasant said. “I ran out of time and was always on the road.”

“I’m very happy with the way the truck turned out,” Pleasant finished saying. “I’ve had a lot of good comments about it.” For the latest updates and to follow everything that 4×4 Barbie is up to be sure to check out her Instagram!
