At the SEMA Show, we made our way through all of the halls. We looked at the latest and greatest, and among them was Mean Mother and its air compressor, the Adventurer 3.
There to talk with us was Mean Mother’s Chris Roberts, who got us caught up on the Adventurer 3. “Off-roading often entails airing down to get more grip out of the tires,” he said. “But airing back up is a whole other story. So we wanted to a make a good air compressor that could handle inflating larger off-road tires, which 12-volt compressors can’t do very well, at least in in terms of time frame and duty cycle.”
Thus, the Adventurer 3 was born. “We make our compressors to pump quickly and be reliable,” said Roberts. “We’ve had them on the market and they’ve won multiple awards from magazines and consumer testing authorities. What’s more, all of our ratings that we list on the product are from when the compressor was under load, not just the best-case scenario.”
One recent important development on the Adventurer 3 was the move to a wireless controller. Roberts was proud of this change. “At the end of last year, we wanted to do something different,” he said. “It took me quite a while to design. We played with a lot of different technology and how we could integrate the wireless controller. We finally got there and it’s been going very well for us.”
The next time you’re faced with re-inflating your tires after a hard day’s trail, Mean Mother’s Adventurer 3 will be there to take care of you. See more from Mean Mother on its website.
