If you dig racing and want to get behind the wheel of a fast ride, there aren’t too many opportunities like this where you can buy a nine second turn key setup. High Tech Turbo (HTT) is selling their 1923 Model T powered by a 12 valve Cummins and the 24 foot Haulmark enclosed trailer. On top of that, they are throwing in the spare parts that go with the altered.
Originally named Boneshaker by Ryan Tucker who built the altered after selling his C10, that Beans Diesel Performance bought. Tucker has built a number of drag racing vehicles and due to medical reasons, had to sell the Boneshaker.
According to Jacob White who handles the marketing for High Tech Turbo, the “motor has only a couple passes on it. Full Hamilton cylinder head and cam, Haisley fire ring kit, ARP Studs, brand new DDP [Dynomite Diesel Products] injectors (less than one hour run time), 13mm injection pump, Scheid adjustable pump timing kit, HTT 71/73/13SS turbo and stainless manifold.”
White, also, mentioned that they would be willing to swap turbochargers if the new owner wanted to run something different. The current setup is estimated to be somewhere in the 750 to 800 horsepower range. Behind the engine is a built turbo 400 transmission with a trans brake that sends the power back to the nine inch rear end.
When Tucker owned the altered, it was at the track almost every weekend. The chassis has been dialed in and the altered is a true 9 second vehicle (check the pass below).
For the past two years, the altered has sat idle because HTT’s driver is no longer with the program. They have decided to just sell the car and move onto other things. Here is the link to the RacingJunk.com page where the altered is listed at 30k.
