Super chips and Edge Products are big players in the diesel and performance track aftermarket, and we made it a point to stop by at their booth at the 2015 SEMA Show to see the latest and greatest products coming to market.
One new product that Edge is launching is their EAS Expandable Accessory System, that allows users to connect and display multiple accessory sensors on a single device in a daisy-chain layout, including pressure monitors, temperature sensors, EGT sensors, turbo timers, and other key elements.
Edge also has a new cold air intake, known as the Jammer, which is a new design meant to improve airflow by blocking the hot air and using cooler, more dense air for better efficiency. The Jammer is compatible with Edge tuning products, and uses an enclosed housing for cool airflow. It also has a reusable, pre-oiled filter. The company is promoting added power and fuel economy, improved continuous power, and high-flow, low restriction operation with its use.
Edge has teamed with HP Tuners to develop a new gauge display and data monitor, which delivers the ability to load custom tunes. The unit is built within a slim case with a 5-inch, full-color, high-resolution display.
“With this device, we have the ability to read stock of a vehicle. Once you read stock, the customer can upload it through our Internet software. When you find a tuner, you can then get into your portal, pull the stock file out, build the tunes, load it back in the portal, the customer downloads it, and now you have their customer tune. This is our way to get into the custom tuning market,” says Edge’s Jared Venz.
The unit has an HDMI-style plug for power and linking EAS accessories, and one-touch navigation operation.
