SEMA 2016: Skyjacker’s 2017 Super Duty Lifts And Matchbox Build

With the 2017 Super Duty changing the face of Ford’s bestselling three-quarter-ton trucks, so too are aftermarket companies making the switch to provide these pickups with the latest and greatest gear. Case in point – Skyjacker Suspension.

During every SEMA Show, the good folks over at Skyjacker (headed by the legendary McCurry family) take the time to make a special press conference. This year, it was all about the new kits for the Super Duty, Curt LeDuc shock absorbers, and perhaps most interestingly, the Matchbox MBX350 police truck.

This black 2017 Super Duty featured Skyjacker's new 8.5-inch four-link lift kit, equipped with M95 shock absorbers to give it some off-road prowess.

“We have new lift and leveling kits for the 2017 Super Duty, with two-inch, four-inch, six-inch, and eight-and-a-half-inch offerings,” said Lee McGuire, marketing director for Skyjacker. “We’re running our monotube M95 shocks on here, too.”

The kits would obviously suit owners looking to fit larger wheels and tires under their vehicle, and still provide a good ride, said McGuire. “We always pay a lot of attention to spring rates and other factors, and we try to keep the ride within factory,” said McGuire. “The ride quality is really important to us.”

Skyjacker once again teamed with Matchbox to boost its SEMA build this year: a 2017 Super Duty dubbed "MBX350," combining with a police force theme mixed with extreme off-roading.

Over at the Ford booth, Skyjacker’s handiwork was visible in the form of the MBX350 police truck. It was equipped with the Skyjacker 8.5-inch lift kit, LeDuc Series front coilover shocks, M95 rear shocks, as well as various other goodies like 20-inch American Force wheels, 40-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires, Rigid Industries Radiance light bars, Warn Zeon 12S winch, Fab Fours front and rear bumpers, and more.

With Super Duty builds on the mind this year, Skyjacker showed us all what was coming around the bend for this next-gen diesel pickup. Check out more by visiting Skyjacker on its website.
