NTPA Releases 2014 Schedule!

One of the largest pulling organizations out there, National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) has just released their 2014 schedule. There are so many events, that we cannot possibly list them all in this article. So, below you will find all of the events listed up until July 4th!

If you are unfamiliar with NTPA, we managed to catch up to Josh Steinmetz who is in charge of NTPA’s social media. Steinmetz was nice enough to answer a couple of questions we had.

Diesel Army: How many diesel classes do you have?

Josh Steinmetz: At the Grand and Super National Level we have Super Farm Tractor, Pro Stock Tractor, Diesel Super Stock Tractor and Super Semis. At the next level down Limited Pro Stock Tractor, Light Pro Stock Tractor, Super Stock Diesel FWD Trucks and Pro Stock Diesel 4×4 Trucks are additional classes offered.

Diesel Army:Do you see these classes growing or are they maintaining?

Josh Steinmetz: The Light and Limited Pro Stock classes are growing. The Light class is growing mainly due to the 540 cu in limit, allowing more brands of tractor to compete in the class, while the limited Pro Stock class has allowed many Super Farm pullers to step-up the horsepower and a reasonable cost.

Diesel Army:How well received are your truck classes?

Josh Steinmetz: The diesel truck classes are a fan favorite. The only way to improve the classes would be to have more competing, but the numbers keep growing.

Diesel Army:Are you planning on expanding the truck classes?

Josh Steinmetz: At this time, we are not planning any expansion in the truck classes, but a few of our member state associations have added the 3.0 or 2.6 trucks to their lineups.

Diesel Army:Do you want to say anything specifically about NTPA and/or want to recommend anything to people reading this?

Josh Steinmetz: We have more than just diesel, multi-engine tractors, two and four wheel drive trucks and the 2500 hp minis weighing only 2050 lbs. Be sure to watch NTPA pulling on RFD-TV. NTPA Championship Pulling airs three times weekly as follows: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 4:30 a.m., and Mondays at 12:30 a.m. Each week, a new episode of NTPA Championship Pulling will premiere on Tuesday and repeat during the scheduled air times listed above.
