The quest for more power is in the blood of all racing competitors. Everything thing that can help increase power and performance is fair game to be tried. That is why BorgWarner has released a new turbo core that will allow your engine to deliver more power.
The S400SX-E core features an 88mm inducer Gen-C7 forged milled compressor wheel that enables an engine to achieve over 1,575 horsepower per turbocharger. It also has S500 power potential in an S400 frame size, an integrated speed sensor boss, and a 360-degree thrust bearing, which improves thrust capability and extends turbocharger life.
“Customers participating in competitive motorsports asked us for a powerful turbocharger that is compact enough to fit a broad range of boost-thirsty gas and diesel applications. Our latest S400SX-E super core is engineered to meet those performance requirements with a number of enhancements,” said Frédéric Lissalde, president and general manager, BorgWarner Turbo Systems. “As a super core configuration, the S400SX-E provides performance enthusiasts with more opportunities for convenient customization, and offers performance distributors more inventory flexibility and assembly options.”
BorgWarner’s S400SX-E super cores feature Generation C6 and C7 compressor wheels that are compressor-stage matched to deliver optimal efficiency and airflow. A pre-machined speed sensor boss allows users to reduce fabrication costs if they wish to customize their unit. A variety of companion SX series turbine housing sizes are sold separately, providing consumers with a range of choices when fine-tuning their engine set up.
