Here at the PRI Show, we’re making our way through every nook and cranny. Were looking at the latest and greatest, and among them is Firestone Industrial Products and its Ride-Rite Extreme Duty Red Label air spring kit.
There to help us understand more about the kit was Richard Myers. “On this kit, the springs can handle between 10 to 150 psi,” he said. “We used high-strength steel and grade 8 bolts throughout the kit. It makes for a much stronger kit compared to the normal Ride-Rite kit.”
Installing one of these kits is a breeze, thanks to the no-drill method. “We have them for all of the major heavy-duty makes out there, including Ford, GM, and Ram,” said Myers. “They bolt on in about an hour to an hour and a half. They require no modifications to the frame or leaf springs.”
Regarding weight ratings, the Extreme Duty Red Label kit is a stout supporter of loads placed on a truck. “We tested it to 7,500 pounds,” said Myers. With its commercial-grade bellows, it’s a small wonder that the spring is able to carry almost four tons of weight.
For extreme towing and hauling, the Extreme Duty Red Label kit constitutes a top contender in the market. We encourage you to check out more from Firestone on its website.
